Haxis

This project started in September 2015 as an one school year project for the 3rd year International Game Architecture and Design at NHTV University. The aim of this project was to simulate a game development process as done in the industry, with a proper pre-production, production, polish and publishing phase.

The game was designed to be a multiplayer team MOBA-like game in which competing teams of two players work their way through a large level in order to defeat the boss first. The game included networked multiplayer, a skill-based combat system and customizable talents.

For this game I worked on the network multiplayer implementation, minimap and gameplay features. Additionally, I also worked on a seperate tool for recording and visualizing of analytics from the game, allowing designers to analyze information such as ability usage count, damage done per ability and map layout usage through heatmaps. This project was also the first introduction for us to Perforce as a version control.
